Blepharitis
Blepharitis is a common condition that causes inflammation of the eyelids, resulting in red, painful, and swollen eyelid edges with crusts on the roots of the eyelashes.
Symptoms may include dry or burning eyes, a feeling of something in the eye, and occasionally blurred vision. The severity of symptoms can vary greatly.
Initial treatment typically involves conservative eyelid hygiene measures, warm compresses, and eyelid massage. In some cases, antibiotic therapy may be necessary.
